New Langmead CEO is global brand expert

Global brand expert Stephanie Hildon has been appointed Herbs BU CEO of fresh cut and potted herbs specialist Langmead Herbs, to drive the dynamic business to further growth.

Langmead is a leading supplier to the retail and food service industry in the UK and Spain, selling 60 million packed and potted herbs a year.

Stephanie has a strong track record in FMCG, leading the growth of global brands, driving sales and Ebitda through category development, innovation and strong commercial acumen. She was most recently Chief Executive of G Plan and previously Marketing Director of Organix Brands, after brand and commercial directorships with high-profile consumer brands.

She joins Langmead Herbs effective from 12 February.

With a passion for customers and consumers, Stephanie is perfectly positioned to exploit opportunities ahead. One of these is to achieve Langmead’s vision of being the European Herb Champion, dedicated to helping people understand the health and taste benefits of herbs.

“I am excited to join the team as CEO. Langmead Herbs has a well-earned reputation for delivering quality herbs and exceptional service,” she said. “I am enthusiastic about the opportunities to build on current infrastructure to profitably grow the business.”

She added that she had been impressed by Langmead’s ‘people first’ business culture.

Stephanie has real passion for the customer and consumer and is a very experienced commercial operator.”

He added: “We are confident she will bring fresh perspective to the challenges and opportunities we face. We are delighted that Stephanie will lead our strategy to become the European Herb Champion.”

William also acknowledged Peter Scrimshaw, CFO at Langmead Group, for his tremendous work as interim CEO. Peter said: “Stephanie will be a very effective CEO, as well as a great cultural fit for us. She brings deep consumer marketing and sales experience, and strong leadership qualities. I look forward to working with her.”
